At IBS Building Supplies, we’re committed to promoting the safe use of our products so that everyone can return home healthy at the end of the day.

Work safely with IBS FIBRE® Flex fibre cement boards always wear protective gear, cut outdoors with the right tools, and control dust to protect your health and ensure a quality finish.
Many construction materials including fibre cement, concrete, bricks, mortar, tiles, and more contain Crystalline Silica, a naturally occurring mineral. When these materials are cut, drilled, or ground, they can release fine dust known as Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS), which is classified as hazardous.
While IBS Building Supplies products do not emit RCS in their manufactured form, activities like cutting or drilling fibre cement can release it. This risk can be effectively managed through safe work practices, proper ventilation, dust control equipment, and the use of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).

IBS FIBRE® Flex cement boards are usually supplied on pallets suitable for forklift. If crane offloading by slings is envisaged, special notification must be made in advance or upon placing orders.

IBS fibre cement boards are supplied with protective plastic sheeting wrapped around the timber crates. This protection should not be removed until site and structural conditions are prepared and ready for panel installation.
